Early spring and autumn can be put as the shoulder season, yet unlike other tourist destinations, this season also welcomes a swell of tourists. July and August attract the maximum number of visitors because of their comfortable climate. There is a lot to do in these months; April holds the London Coffee Festival while one can visit the Museums at Night Festival in Mid May. London is prone to storms almost any time of the year and hence while visiting London always carry an umbrella.

First of all, I must recommend travelling on the Tube and/or the double decker bus. I would recommend taking the Thames cruise for a view across the two banks. Get off at The Tower of London for a Beef Eater's tour around the castle. My favourite attraction at London was, however, the British Museum! Evenings at Trafalgar Square are magical!

This is an amazing museum with some brilliant exhibits. The curation of the museum is simply outstanding, specially in the dinosaur and mammals section, where you get to see many recollected bones of huge creatures. Great place to spend time on a rainy day, or after a walk in the Hyde Park.
